Ways to reduce period cramps

I suffer from intense period cramps. On bad cramp days I would turn pale, almost ghostly. I would have severe abdominal pain, I would get very cold, I would shiver, and I would have a dry mouth. When these severe cramps occur, It feels like the life is being sucked out of me.

Ways in which I decreased the menstrual (period) pain :

1. Increase in exercise

I noticed that as I increased my exercise routine, the cramps lessened to the point where I didn't need to take any motrin (the only medication that really works for me).

2. Decrease in salt and sugar

I also decreased my salt and sugar in take.

3. Consume Raspberry Tea

I drink a lot of raspberry tea which is something my sisters put me on to and it does work. It seems to reduce my pain as I continue to drink it. For me the tea has to be decaffeinated because I notice that when I drink caffeine my cramps increase. 

Since making these adjustments, I have noticed a lot of positive changes with my menstrual cramps, clotting and pain in general. There are occasions where my cramps are severe but it happens once every few months, verses every cycle.

In addition to diet and exercise. I've been reading up on our tampons and pads. I found out that there are some brands that can have harmful effects on our bodies due to the fact that these brands do not use pure cotton. Instead these companies mix cotton and other things to create our pads. It seems that our pads are filled with ingredients that can add to our discomfort and cause serious complications. I've collaborated with a brand called cherish. This brand offers pads that are made with pure cotton.

My Review:

I have a heavy period flow. For me the pads were comfortable, but they were a little on the thinner side and I felt that the pads needed to be a bit longer for sleeping. Other than that the pads feel light, breathable and they felt pure. It actually felt as if I had nothing on. Vixen Workout

Hey loves, welcome to my blog. Every other Wednesday I will be sharing health and fitness topics. For today I will be sharing about a new workout called the Vixen Workout. The vixen workout was started in Miami by Janet Jones. It's a hip hop and sensual dance format that is also well known in NYC. 

My lovely friend @rissfitkitty (via instagram), is an instructor in New Jersey. She is helping to build the New Jersey network and I'm super excited. Currently the classes are held at the Peakpac NJ performing arts school 734 Grand Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ on Tuesday nights at 8:15 pm. As you can see in the video below, the class is super fun. 30 Day Fitness Journey Vlog

Wow! I can't believe it's almost 2018. I thought of no better way to end the year than to end it with a topic that most people hope to tackle in the New year. Fitness is always the most sought out resolution, but what are we actually doing to achieve our fitness goals?

From August 20, 2017 to September 20, 2017. I went on a thirty day fitness journey. I really wanted to challenge my body and see how much weight I could lose. I won't say that it was easy. I had days where I wanted to quit. I had cheat days where I wanted to eat like a horse, but in all, this journey has taught me a lot about myself and the stregnth that I have within. This stregnth is found in all of us. Our only task is to start. I hope that this 30 day fitness video inspires some viewers to go for their weightloss goals. You will be happy that you did!.

Garlic Tea?

Last week I came down with a cold after trying to be cute in the brutal cold weather during my photoshoot. I felt like I was dying lmao I know i'm pretty dramatic but it was horrible. I was out of work for a few days and when I went back to work it seemed like everyone was in the same predicament.

I was talking to one coworker and he was telling me and another lady how he had pneumonia a few weeks back. He started to share with us about how his parents would make him drink ginger tea with garlic. Me and the other lady were flabbergasted, we shouted out garlic?? It was pretty dramatic and because of this I had to research for myself. I found whole bunch of stuff about this Jamacian garlic and ginger elixir that really cures your cold. Being the blogger that I am I just had to try it and see if it works. i was still feeling pretty congested in my chest so it was the perfect time to try, and it definitely works. Its best to drink it at the initial sign of a cold as many times as you want per day. If the cold persists for more than a week consult your doctor.

The good for you ice cream review

I'm all about staying fit and being health contious. When I came accross this brand called @enlightened I just had to share their ice cream with you all. I was sent seven flavors to try and boy o boy is this ice cream good. When you think healthy you think no flavor or watered down but to my surprise this ice cream holds nothing back. I lost my booty!!

I lost my booty is such a funny post title, but it's the truth. I really lost my booty....ahhh!!!!  My gluteus Maximus used to be round, defined, and plump. Now, my booty is a bit flat, but at least I have something to work with. I want my booty to be more defined exactly the way it used to look before I lost all the weight. 

 

Where did my booty go?

Well....

I lost most of the definition in my booty because I was doing a lot of cardio and less weight training. Cardio is a great way to shed pounds, but you need to combat cardio with weight training in order to gain muscle and keep things toned. I definitely missed that memo and kept doing excessive cardio. Before I knew it my butt just kept getting smaller and smaller by the minute. Well I'm exaggerating, but my booty definitely shrunk in size compared to how it used to look, and I want it back. Thankfully my Booty by Letler kit has come to the rescue.

Melissa Letellier is the owner of Letler Fit and she also went through her own booty dilemma, which is what prompted her to create Letler fit. As we are still early in the year, it's the perfect time to begin a regimen and begin getting our booties back! As I've kept up with the plan, I do notice some good changes.
