Day 10 of our 25 Days of Advent devotional series

We're back with Day 10 of our 25 Days of Advent devotional series. To Quickly recap, Advent is the preparation period for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. To prepare, we are partaking in daily devotionals until Christmas Day. With that said, let's jump right into today's devotional.

For today's devotional, as we wait for Christmas Day and the coming of our Lord Jesus. I feel a call to speak about prayer. Let us read

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, the scripture says: Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Prayer is our direct communication to God. We must pray daily, even multiple times a day. How do we pray? Christians follow the abbreviation A.C.T.S. Adoration, contrition, thanksgiving, and supplication. When we pray, we first express our adoration, which means our deep love and respect for God. We express our contrition, expressing our remorse and asking for repentance for anything we have done that displeased God. We then offer our thanksgiving to the lord, and finally, supplication is the point in our praying where we petition God and humbly or earnestly ask our Father for our needs and the world's needs.

I end my prayer sessions with the Lord's Prayer: let's pray together.

We have concluded day ten of our 25 Days of Advent series. As your sister in Christ, I hope you have a fantastic holiday season. Merry Christmas, and have a wonderful day.
