Birthday dinner at Harry’s Daughter

Happy Birthday to me.

Even though I had dinner after my Birthday, it was a good time.

A few friends and I visited a Caribbean restaurant called Harry’s Daughter in Jersey City. To drink, I had their rum punch mimosa popsicle. I honestly enjoyed the popsicle. However, I wish the entire drink tasted like a popsicle instead of prosecco. I had their codfish fritters for an appetizer, which I was excited to try because I had been craving codfish fritters. Still, the fritters did not taste like the Jamaican codfish fritters I was used to, so I was slightly disappointed. I also was able to taste the coconut shrimp which was delicious. I got an oxtail for my entree, which was not bad. I should have got the oxtail with the pumpkin rice instead of the white rice because the pumpkin rice had a nice flavor.

I wish the restaurant was more spacious and had more aesthetically pleasing areas for photos. Overall the food was good. However, it’s not my top Caribbean restaurant, but it was lovely. I would give it a 7/10.
