Facing trauma

If healing is the goal, then at some point, you will have to face yourself and face the trauma. Don’t be afraid; this is how you uncover what is happening and begin healing. A few helpful ways to face your trauma are to seek support, journal, turn away from harmful vices, heal the inner child, acknowledge your feelings, get back to a daily routine, and reprogram your subconscious mind.

Remember, healing begins by reprogramming your subconscious mind. The best way to do this is through repetition. So keep repeating encouraging words, healing prompts, voicing thoughts out loud, memorizing encouraging quotes and Bible verses, listening to uplifting song lyrics, and other positive notes. Also, remember the beautiful things that God says about you in scripture. Know that God loves you and that what God says overrides anything else.

I’m here to remind you that no matter what you have been through, your life means something. Don’t give in to your lower self, your subconscious thoughts, and any misguided words spoken by broken people. If it helps, remember that you are not alone. Everyone is going through something. Whatever you have been through or are going through, you can overcome it, but you must face it.
